Adding Comments in Portfolio Planner

Comments let you tag a teammate directly in a Portfolio Planner scenario, forecast, or Plan of Record so they can review your analysis in context. Leave a note, tag a colleague, and they'll see exactly what you'd like them to look at.

How to tag a teammate in a comment

  • Open the plan you want to discuss. In Portfolio Planner, open the Plan of Record, scenario or forecast you'd like a teammate to review.

  • Make sure your teammate has access. Your teammate needs at least view access to the plan to see and add comments. Share it with them if they don't have access yet. Make sure to give them the desired level of access: Viewer or Editor.

  • Add a comment. Open the comments on the plan and start a new comment.

  • Tag your teammate. Type @ followed by your teammate's name, then add any context about what you'd like them to review.

  • Post the comment. Your teammate will receive an email letting them know that you've tagged them in a comment on the plan. They can then review it with your context in hand and even leave a reply.

Tips

  • Share before you tag. Your teammate needs at least view access to the scenario, forecast, or Plan of Record to add and view comments, so share it first.

  • Be specific. Say which assumptions, locations, or results you'd like checked so your reviewer knows where to focus.

What's next

We're building more functionality into Comments over the next few months. In the meantime, the workflow above is the best way to collaborate on scenarios with your team.
